Still on a high
On Friday night we played at UJ for an event combining Christians at Wits and Christians at UJ. About 1000 students attended and it was brilliant. We can't explain how amazing it is to worship with the students at Wits and UJ, they really know how to go for it. We've put some pics of the night on Facebook and we'll try upload them to the website soon.
Yesterday at Wits
Christians at Wits organised the opportunity for us to play at Wits main campus during lunch yesterday. We set up Alfred (our sound system) on the library lawns, and come 1:15pm we could let loose for nearly an hour. Thank you to our fans at Wits who were amazing in their support. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
In at 17
We've just entered the Top 20 chart on 1Africa, a radio station based in Cape Town that broadcasts over the whole of Africa (check www.1africa.tv). After 3 days of being playlisted "Please" entered the weekly chart at number 17. We're really happy :)
You can also listen to a podcast of an interview we did with Xena from the station if you click on DJ blogs, Xena, My Podcasts, and there you'll find Harbourlight 1 and 2. Enjoy!
Happy Easter
Just to send out a happy Easter to everyone. I know it's a bit late, but hope you all had a fantastic long weekend.
What's your vote?
On 20 March we were part of a prayer event focussing on the up-coming elections for South Africa. It was incredible to see so many young people coming together to pray, and I believe the evening was very powerful. We all left so inspired because God had been there in our midst. That's not surprising; it's God's desire for us to pray, and He is keen to bless it when we do.
Update
Well following up from the last post, we were informed that the insurance company was not going to cover the loss we suffered on the night of the Centurion gig. That really sucks, but God is amazing, and He has provided for us in an amazing way through various donations and we've managed to get better equipment than what we lost at incredible prices. Never doubt God!
An eventful weekend
On Saturday we headed off to set up for our first gig ever in Centurion. We got there to find the sound and lighting guys had done an amazing job, and together with a big school hall stage it was looking really awesome. We set up and did sound check and we were really excited.
Competition Winnner!
So February has come to an end which means that our tell a friend competition is over. And we have a winner.... With 79 invites Caleb Pedersen, currently living in Cape Town, wins the iPod shuffle. Congratulations Caleb, your shuffle is on it's way!
Thanks to everyone who entered the competition and sent invites to your friends, and even though the competition is over, please continue to tell your friends.

In the market place
On wednesday night we payed at back 2 basics with Finding Noah. We started out having big problems with the sound after the amp for the bass bins burned out before a note had been played through them. Got quite worried standing on stage seeing 8pm get closer and closer and we had no sound coming out of the system. Eventually Josh and some of the others went aside and just prayed about the sound and a few seconds later the sound guys figured something out and we could go for it. That's God at work right there.
