So we're back in Jo'burg after an amazing trip to Cape Town. It's a beautiful city, especially in the rainy season, and is was fantastic getting to meet and work with some of the Capetonians and make new friends there.
We played two gigs on our trip, one at Jubilee Community Church and one at Church on Main. Both shows were incredible. The people worshipped all out, and the presence of God came. It was a brilliant time. Standing in God's presence with a room full of people singing to Jesus is just so special. We'd like to say a huge thank you to Jubilee and Church on Main for opening up to us and being amazing hosts. And another huge thank you to all the people who came and worshipped with us! We're glad to have made many new friends in Cape Town :)
We'd also like to say a big thank you to Brad and the guys at 1Africa radio station. They are based in Cape Town but the station broadcasts over the continent. They have been playing some of our songs on the station and we are apparently doing quite well on the charts. Brad did an interview with us in studio while we were there (we'll put the link to the podcast up on the site when we get it), and it was great speaking to him afterwards about the vision for the station. It is really encouraging and exciting to hear the motives behind what they are doing and how they are using the airwaves to advance the Kingdom. We look forward to seeing them bearing much fruit.
For now we're back home, and we are very excited about what God is doing in us. The Cape Town trip was like a growth spurt for us in terms of God's work in our lives. We are looking ahead expectantly for what God has planned for us, we are excited about being workers in His Kingdom, for His glory, for His fame.
Look out for photos and videos from Cape Town coming soon.
Gigs coming up at UJ on Monday and at the end of the month we'll be playing just outside of Nelspruit.
