Still on a high

On Friday night we played at UJ for an event combining Christians at Wits and Christians at UJ. About 1000 students attended and it was brilliant. We can't explain how amazing it is to worship with the students at Wits and UJ, they really know how to go for it. We've put some pics of the night on Facebook and we'll try upload them to the website soon.

Something that was really exciting is that some rain was predicted for Friday night. That was a real concern seeing as the event was outdoors. We really prayed God would hold the clouds back, and He did. The skies were clear on Friday night and everything ran smoothly, and then on Saturday night, from the comfort of home, we listened to the rain falling, a day late :)

On Sunday evening we then headed off to play at GodFirst Monte Casino. This is an amazing church that meets right in the 'market place' in the Pieter Thorien theatre in Monte Casino and we had been looking forward to this night for a while. Wow, we left there on such a high. You were just so concious of the presence of God throughout the service, both in the worship and the teaching. Times like that just reinforce the fact that God is bigger than anything you've got going, and actually, you've got nothing going unless we're joining in with what God has got going. It reminds me of a famous quote "Take your glory Lord, I will have none of it."

So it was a very special weekend, and we just look back and say God You are so amazing!
