Hey people. Yes it has been a while since our last update, but you know how this time of year goes. Crazy crazy!
So we're back from Durban now. Actually we've been back for over 2 weeks now, but it makes me (Shaun) feel less guilty about our lack of contact if I word the sentence about being back somewhat ambiguously so that it could be read to sound like we've been hectically touring Durban for 3 weeks solid and haven't had a chance to write a blog until now. The plan was actually to do a bit of a tour diary with pics and video clips and that kind of thing, which would be cool, but it also takes a lot of time, and because we knew it would take a lot of time we didn't get time to do it, and therefore by default ended up doing nothing. But at least we were well-meaning....
So anyway, we spent a week in Durban playing a gig a day. Lots of fun. We'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Cindy and her family for being the most amazing hosts ever! It was such a blessing to us. We saw God do some amazing things while we were down there, we did things we've never done before like playing at a school and Gateway Mall, and we were able to form relationships with some of the Durban North people. We can't wait for the next visit sometime next year :)
We then spent the last stop of the tour in Ashburton playing at the Music Market with The Ranks. There are some very talented musicians in the country which is great to see. Then a big thank you to the Webster/Vos families who were also totally amazing in their hospitality!
Thank you people of KZN for opening up to us and welcoming us. See you soon!
We don't really have anything planned for the rest of the year, everything just feels like Christmas at the moment. We have been planning events for next year though, and we're really excited about it. As soon as dates have been finalised we'll put them on the gig calendar - if you join the mailing list you'll get the dates in your mail box. And in the meantime we've started working on some new songs.... :) ..... ....
Anyway, we hope you're all having a joyous season and that you're not eating too many Christmas pies. Have a very merry Christmas!
