There were days that ended at midnight and days that started at 4am, moments of beautiful inspiration and periods of tearful frustration, but after 7 months in studio and plenty of coffee, we released our debut album Come Home in July 2008.
The album consists of 13 original compositions tracked, mixed and mastered at Stable Sound Studio* just outside of Jo'burg. Shaun mixed and mastered the album while Craig and Chris did all the graphics, making the project totally us.
The theme of the album is essentially worship, redemption and hope. The title Come Home resonates with us because our message is basically that we will only find life when we start living life how we were created to, and we were created to worship. When we lay ourselves down for that purpose, the yearning and restless longing that each of us strives to fulfill is satisfied and our soul finds rest. That is home.
We are in the process of signing a distribution deal for South Africa, meaning that Come Home will be on the shelves in stores around the country in the 2009. If you would like to buy the album, you can get one at one of our gigs, by filling in the order form and we'll post one to you, or from one of the internet stores listed on the site.
* On the first batch of CDs printed we called it Mouse House Studio, as we didn't realise the name had been changed since the studio was rebuilt in 2007. So if your CD says 'Mouse House' then you know you have a copy from the first batch of Harbourlight CDs ever printed!
Review
"On most CDs I've bought, I've had one or two tracks that I don't like, and I can honestly say that I like all the tracks on Come Home. I can't find anything to NOT like on this CD."
